Among the most distinctive watches of contemporary independent watchmaking, the Anywhere Métiers d’Art Azur expresses time not simply as measurement, but as experience. Conceived by Rémi Maillat, the watch indicates the precise times of sunrise and sunset for a location selected by its owner anywhere in the world, transforming geography into intimate horology. Housed in a platinum case and distinguished by an extraordinary blue dial crafted by hand, the reference C030-51 stands apart for the intelligence of its complication and the serenity of its presentation.
The present watch is further distinguished by its richly textured dial, whose mosaic-like blue surface and contrasting day-and-night ring create a particularly refined visual identity. Visible details from the watch image include a polished platinum-toned case, a blue métiers d’art-style dial, a dark outer 24-hour ring, a lower calendar display, and a blue grained leather strap with contrasting stitching.
A singular complication
Anywhere is built around one of the most original complications in modern watchmaking: the indication of sunrise and sunset according to a location chosen personally by the wearer, anywhere on Earth.
Métiers d’Art Azur dial
The dial is crafted by hand using a miniature-painting approach, with numerous small alveoli filled individually to produce a subtle spectrum of blue tones and an unusual sense of depth, texture, and light.
Independent watchmaking at a high level
Developed and assembled in Neuchâtel by Krayon founder Rémi Maillat, the hand-wound calibre C030 comprises 432 components while maintaining a thickness of only 5 mm, underlining the technical sophistication behind the watch’s apparent calm.
Rare and highly exclusive
The reference C030-51 was produced in a limited edition of only 15 pieces, making it one of the more exclusive modern expressions of independent astronomical watchmaking.
An exceptionally balanced design
The 39 mm platinum case, restrained proportions, and contemplative dial architecture give the watch a rare balance of technical depth and aesthetic refinement.
