A sculptural manual-winding chronograph in white gold, distinguished by the Malte case, guilloché dial, and the restrained elegance long associated with Vacheron Constantin.
Among modern Vacheron Constantin chronographs, the Malte reference 47120 occupies a distinctive position. Produced in white gold and shaped by the maison’s characteristic Malte design language, it brings a more sculptural and expressive identity to the traditional manually wound chronograph. The case, measuring approximately 41.5 mm, is defined by its stepped profile, curved form, and elegant proportions, offering a silhouette that is immediately recognisable within the contemporary output of the manufacture.
The guilloché dial lends the reference much of its visual character. Its textured surface, combined with applied numerals and a balanced two-register chronograph layout, gives the watch both depth and compositional clarity. The result is a model that feels classically grounded yet distinct from more conventional round chronographs, combining decorative finesse with the quiet confidence expected from Vacheron Constantin.
At its heart is a manual-winding chronograph movement, a configuration especially appreciated by collectors for the directness and historical continuity it brings to the chronograph format. In the Malte 47120, that traditional mechanical character is paired with a precious-metal case and an unmistakably formal design vocabulary, resulting in a watch that sits comfortably between classical dress watchmaking and modern collector appeal.
The present example is offered in used but good condition and delivered with its blank warranty cardand Vacheron Constantin leather pouch. Altogether, it represents an appealing opportunity to acquire a white-gold Vacheron Constantin chronograph of strong personality, elegant execution, and clear collector relevance.
