A tremendously impressive and exceptionally rare Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars Minute Repeater Quantième Perpétuel, reference 25918PT, combining two of the manufacture’s great historic complications: the minute repeater and the perpetual calendar. Housed in a 39 mm platinum case and powered by a manual-winding movement, this highly important watch stands out not only for its technical sophistication, but also for its remarkable rarity and archive-documented special-order configuration.

According to Audemars Piguet’s Heritage & Archives department, the present watch was sold to Germany in 1999 and later fitted, by special request in 2002, with the current blue and silvered dial, similar to that of the unique piece reference 12605PT created for the brand’s 125th anniversary. The result is an especially striking and elegant presentation, with a silver guilloché-style main dial, contrasting blue calendar surrounds, Roman numerals, moon-phase display, and leap-year indication. The watch offers a superb visual balance alongside the acoustic refinement of a resonant and clear repeating chime.

Reference 25918, part of the Jules Audemars Collection, was manufactured between 1997 and 1999 and mainly sold between 1999 and 2000. Only eleven examples were made in white gold, five in pink gold, and just one piece in platinum—the present watch. Cherished by their owners and almost never seen on the open market, such special-order, fully archive-confirmed high complications represent an extraordinary opportunity for the serious collector.
