Classic 18k gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback reference 6085 from circa 1952 with black dial, automatic movement, engine-turned bezel, and centre seconds.
A highly attractive mid-century Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback, reference 6085, housed in an 18k gold tonneau-form case and dating to circa 1952. This classic automatic Rolex combines elegant proportions with strong vintage character, featuring a dark black dial with applied gilt point baton hour markers, gilt outer 1/5th second divisions, Arabic five-minute markers, and gilt hands with centre seconds.
The case is especially appealing, with its brushed and polished surfaces, engine-turned bezel, and distinctive Bubbleback architecture that defines this important early chapter of Rolex automatic watchmaking. Powered by a jewelled automatic movement and fitted on an associated black leather strap with a signed 14k gold buckle, this reference 6085 offers both collector appeal and timeless everyday wearability.
Signed on the case, dial, and movement, this is a refined and historically important vintage Rolex for collectors seeking an elegant Bubbleback in yellow gold.
