Rare 9k gold Rolex manual-wind single-button chronograph with silvered pulsations dial, blued steel hands, and 1937 Glasgow import mark.
A charming and uncommon vintage Rolex single-button chronograph housed in a polished 9k gold round case with Glasgow import mark for 1937. Measuring 26 mm, this piece captures the elegant proportions and refined detailing of pre-war chronograph design, with a clean silvered dial, alternating Arabic numerals and baton hour markers, twin subsidiary registers, and a black pulsations scale.
The dial is particularly appealing for its balanced two-register layout, with running seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute recorder at 3 o’clock, complemented by blued steel leaf hands and a central chronograph hand. The single chronograph pusher at 2 o’clock and column-wheel manual-wind movement further reinforce the watch’s collector appeal, offering both mechanical interest and period character.
Signed on the case, dial, and movement, this Rolex is fitted with an associated black leather strap and associated steel buckle. A rare and elegant early chronograph, it is an attractive choice for collectors of vintage Rolex and historically important pre-war wristwatches.
